Vehicle tracking costs: hardware, fitting and monthly service
A device price is not the total cost of a working tracking setup. InCommand separates hardware, installation and optional monthly monitoring so you can decide what you need.
Hardware: the device itself
Hardware is a once-off purchase. Confirm the exact model, quantity and availability, along with any required accessories. Catalogue entries with “Price on request” are awaiting a confirmed quote; that wording does not mean free hardware or confirmed stock.
Ask whether tax and delivery or collection are included. If you are buying hardware only, confirm that your chosen installer and tracking provider support the device.
Fitting: work on your vehicles
Installation is quoted separately for the vehicle and location. Ask whether the amount covers mounting, wiring where required, configuration and testing, and whether travel or additional parts apply.
For several vehicles, provide the vehicle list and availability so the fitting plan can be scoped. An enquiry is not a booked installation appointment.
Monthly monitoring: confirm the inclusions
InCommand monitoring is optional and quoted monthly per vehicle. Ask who supplies the SIM and data, what support is included, how long journey history is retained and which functions will be configured.
Review the start date, term and cancellation arrangements before approving the service. Requesting a quote or buying hardware does not automatically activate monthly monitoring. Compare a written total for your intended number of vehicles and months, keeping once-off and recurring charges separate.
